Overview

Co-hosted with KMOJ, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) and KCAB INTERNATIONAL, the 2025 ADR Special Session will be themed “Implementation of UNCITRAL Dispute Settlement Instruments in Civil Law Jurisdictions.” Discussions will highlight the enactments and considerations of UNCITRAL instruments, focusing on civil law jurisdictions, explore comparative perspectives and the uniform interpretation of UNCITRAL texts via the Case Law on UNCITRAL Texts (CLOUT), and examine the Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) reform developments and the evolving landscape of dispute resolution in the digital economy. Deputy Minister of Justice Hong-Sik (Justin) Chung and UNCITRAL Secretary Anna Joubin-Bret will deliver opening remarks.
